Me: So how’d you guys meet?
Chris: Three years ago at a party.
Me: Really? Hmmm.
Guys never communicate first encounters, or anything else, really, the way women do. So, I asked Dolly. During our walk from the 5th level of the Donald Duck parking garage to the tram, I got the dramalicious backstory from both of them.
Dolly and Chris met under adverse circumstances almost 3 years ago. Dolly says Chris had a girlfriend at the time. Chris swears up and down that he had broken up with her two weeks prior to meeting Dolly. Their story begins with a party, a wingman, an ex-girlfriend, a girl fight and flying shoes. You can draw your own conclusions about what exactly went went down that night, but the result was destiny.
We had an amazing day at Disneyland. Dolly works for Disney Corporate, so it was the perfect place for these two to get their pre-engagement session on. No, they’re not engaged yet, but they will be; they’re getting married in Ireland in the summer of 2012. They are two amazing people and I was super lucky to have the opportunity to spend some quality time with them.
Being someone who is way too accomodating for my own good, I can truly appreciate the fact that Dolly is impulsive, emotional and silly as hell. Chris is her opposite. He’s totally laid back, but not like a slacker. He’s more like an urban cowboy. They really complement each other well. Dolly’s is energy, full of ideas, has an appetite like no other and is attached to her blackberry. Chris is a blanket of calm. He’s a total gentleman and super centered and you can see how he totally rubs off on Dolly. We had loads of fun shooting together. Here’s some of what we got:

Awesome
